ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK TRIP

TRIP TO ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

A trip is for the students to learn. As look on every day life, we see that is the part of our college to learn more about our country, especially to know many things about tourism and also to improve the way which we think more as the student .In our college we study more about hospitality industry that makes us to become perfect. The park has 542km2 and has many species of plants and animals. Some of the animals we saw were giraffes, buffaloes and other species of monkeys like black and white colobus monkeys. We learnt that the animals also have team players like buffaloes, they stand and are proud for what they have like giraffes, they have little experience but they care of it. Also colobus monkeys with their style of playing (acrobats) in the trees also they have direction and goals. Buffaloes are very responsible because they protect themselves and their babies so that no one can attack them. They have a positive attitude that is why they live in peace and makes their life become better. So the animals also are Hi5.The trip was good for us and we enjoyed a lot and we bring special thanks to madam Caroline who surprise us the whole trip, thanks so much.

CHRISTMAS PARTY

The day was so nice for the students, trainers, and guests because students were like guests and trainers like waiters and waitresses. Ceremony was started at 13:00 and every one got pilau and drinks. After that we were participating in a second session of SECRET FRIEND which everyone might introduce his/her secret friend in front of the people. Who have you been nice to without them knowing it?

Third students were singing their good songs and last but not least was the fantastic time for dancing and to get Christmas gifts from the J’-ty team.

Special thanks to our guests and donors of Jobortunity for supporting us.

We appreciate it a lot.

SHAMBA

On the shamba (vegetable garden) we are learning about 6W and 1H (What, Who, When, Where, Why, With What, How). It helps us in planning and it helps us work as a team. In shamba the students are divided in groups. Every group is responsible for their own vegetables. And the groups write what they need, like tools and chemicals. Our plan also makes us to think about the way we work as a group and as an individual. Every student enjoys and learns a lot on the shamba which gives us the direction of improving our life. For all this we give our special thanks for to our donors who support us.

Music Day

December 1st 2009 was a music day at Jobortunity. Magare the musician came by with a friend. We made music in a group and every group had their own music style. Magare came to each group to make a beat with his guitar. I was surprised about how fast he could make a nice song. In just a few minutes we were making music like a professional musician.

After a nice day of making music Magare left and said goodbye to everyone. He promised to come back soon to make more music because music make us to have a confidence in our daily life.

Assessment Day

On this day the students were taken to the assessment room at Jobortunity. Jobortunity uses the hand to explain the HI5. The first is the thumb, it stands for a positive attitude. The second is the pointer finger that is for direction in life. The third is the middle finger that stands for being proud of what you have in your life. The fourth one is the ring finger that represents loyalty and being a team player. The last one is the little finger that states that you have to take small but smart steps. At this assessment of course every student had to participate and got result. We enjoyed this this very much, because it helps us to know where we came from, where we are and where we are going.
